Here are the titles of 87 paintings
in Donald Trump’s Florida mansion

More than one Donald Trump biographer has noted that in 1980, when he was razing the Bonwit Teller building in New York to make way for Trump Tower, Trump oversaw the jackhammering of a pair of beloved limestone reliefs — pieces he previously had promised to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

More recently, the Washington Post reported that Trump used $20,000 from his Donald J. Trump Foundation to buy a 6-foot-tall painting of himself.

Hanging inside Trump’s Palm Beach mansion is at least one other painting of Trump.

But Trump has paintings of other things, too, and there are documents filed with the Palm Beach County Clerk of Court to prove it.

In paperwork Trump signed to get a $10 million mortgage loan in 1995, he listed the names of 87 pieces of artwork hanging in Mar-a-Lago, the 118-room Hispano-Moresque estate he bought in 1985.

The document doesn’t specify which of the paintings already was in the mansion when he bought it and which, if any, Trump hung up himself. It's also not clear how many are still hanging there today. But it does offer a small glimpse into the sensibilities of a man everybody still is trying to figure out.

Here, then, are your titles of 87 paintings that were hanging in Trump’s Florida home — everything from Three Ladies Riding Three Zebras and Three Tigers to The Gentlemen’s Visit.
