Over the past week, the number of available beds at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte has risen from 53 to 88. Currently, 152 beds are filled, out of 240 available.

Bayfront Health Port Charlotte indicated that it currently has a max ICU capacity of 21 patients. Currently 15 patients are in the ICU: 15 adults and 0 children.

The number of patients a hospital can handle changes based on staffing. Hospitals can also expand in times of crisis. Since April 3, Bayfront Health Port Charlotte's max ICU capacity has increased 10.5 percent, from 19 to 21. Their total beds have increased 15.4 percent from 208 to 240.
