Over the past week, the number of available beds at Jackson Memorial Hospital has risen from 354 to 380. Currently, 1,266 beds are filled, out of 1,646 available.

Jackson Memorial Hospital indicated that it currently has a max ICU capacity of 251 patients. Currently 217 patients are in the ICU: 201 adults and 16 children.

The number of patients a hospital can handle changes based on staffing. Hospitals can also expand in times of crisis. Since April 3, Jackson Memorial Hospital's max ICU capacity has increased 57.9 percent, from 159 to 251. Their total beds have increased 26.9 percent from 1,297 to 1,646.
