Over the past week, the number of available beds at Lakeland Regional Medical Center has fallen from 167 to 144. Currently, 740 beds are filled, out of 884 available.

Lakeland Regional Medical Center indicated that it currently has a max ICU capacity of 100 patients. Currently 80 patients are in the ICU: 70 adults and 10 children.

The number of patients a hospital can handle changes based on staffing. Hospitals can also expand in times of crisis. Since April 3, Lakeland Regional Medical Center's max ICU capacity has increased 47.1 percent, from 68 to 100. Their total beds have increased 2.1 percent from 866 to 884.
