Over the past week, the number of available beds at Palmetto General Hospital has fallen from 227 to 203. Currently, 279 beds are filled, out of 482 available.

Palmetto General Hospital indicated that it currently has a max ICU capacity of 61 patients. Currently 42 patients are in the ICU: 42 adults and 0 children.

The number of patients a hospital can handle changes based on staffing. Hospitals can also expand in times of crisis. Since April 3, Palmetto General Hospital's max ICU capacity has increased 8.9 percent, from 56 to 61. Their total beds have increased 5.0 percent from 459 to 482.
