Over the past week, the number of available beds at UF Health Shands Hospital has fallen from 152 to 145. Currently, 930 beds are filled, out of 1,075 available.

UF Health Shands Hospital indicated that it currently has a max ICU capacity of 307 patients. Currently 280 patients are in the ICU: 247 adults and 33 children.

The number of patients a hospital can handle changes based on staffing. Hospitals can also expand in times of crisis. Since April 3, UF Health Shands Hospital's max ICU capacity has decreased 1.6 percent, from 312 to 307. Their total beds have increased 2.2 percent from 1,052 to 1,075.
