West Florida Hospital indicated that it currently has a max ICU capacity of 42 patients. Currently 31 patients are in the ICU: 29 adults and 2 children.

The number of patients a hospital can handle changes based on staffing. Hospitals can also expand in times of crisis. Since April 3, West Florida Hospital's max ICU capacity has decreased 25.0 percent, from 56 to 42. Their total beds have decreased 25.2 percent from 552 to 413.
