April 6, 2012 — Palm Beach Gardens

Around 9:30 p.m., police chased Leon Sahakian to an area near his home on Sun Terrace Circle in suburban Palm Beach Gardens.

Sahakian, 50, was suspected of stabbing an ex-girlfriend earlier in the evening. Police said that he lunged at Riviera Beach police Sgt. Michael D'Andria and Officer Joseph Hoffman with a knife. They opened fire, killing him. Read more
